I had to go to a training class/meeting for work on Thursday and when it was over, I was done with work for the day and decided to check out one sale that was pretty close to home. I stopped at home and picked Kevin because he wanted to ride along.
When we got to the sale, a big German shepherd type dog came running out to the car-not barking, but running right for me. I don't know about you, but I always get a little nervous when a big dog runs right at me, until I can be sure they aren't going to try to rip my legs off! He seemed fine, just checking us out. So we wandered up to the garage to check out what they had.
As I was walking around the garage a couple little puppies started weaving in and out of my feet. They were so adorable that I forgot about the over-priced antiques set up on tables in the garage and started playing with the puppies.
The man running the sale said, "She's for sale too." At first I thought he was joking, so I asked if he was serious. He was, but Kevin wasn't biting, so we went home. For the rest of the night, I couldn't get the cutest puppy I've ever seen off my mind!
Well...first thing yesterday morning, Adam and I went back and got her!!! She is 9.5 weeks old, and is a shi tzu Poodle mix-a shihpoo. She will only be about 10-12 pounds when fully grown, and most importantly-she won't shed!!!
We can't decide on a name! I like Zoey, but I'm afraid my cousin will be furious, because that is what she named her daughter! Adam likes Beemo, from one of the characters from Adventure time, Eric Likes Lucy, and Kevin doesn't care. Other names are Bailey, and Sophie...Would you be offended if your cousin named their dog the same as your daughter?
Here she is, what do you think we should call her???
I've really been finding some fantastic things at sales lately!!! I am so excited to see what I'm going to find at the next sale that I can hardly stand to wait for one to come up!!!

Great find. I'd call her Luckee. She's lucky you stopped on the way home.
ReplyDeleteHow could you not take her home...she is adorable!! What a face. My brother and SIL named her dog Annie and did not offend me (Ann) and our first German Shepard we adopted was Sasha and we have a niece Sasha. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteAww..she is darling and that would be a fun and different name, "Darling". LOL.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sweet new little girl!
Warmly,
deb

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! She is so cute! My dog is also a poodle mix and doesn't shed, it changes your life in the best way. Not having dog hair everywhere is amazing!
