Homer Laughlin Harlequin...I'm hooked!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, or even if you are a new reader, I'm sure you've noticed my addiction to  love of Fiesta ware...I've come to realize that I have a serious crush on the Riviera and Harlequin lines as well. I LOVE all of the bright colors! Seriously, how can anyone have a bad day when they are surrounded by these cheery bright dishes?!?!

I just got this Harlequin pitcher today. I won it on Ebay for a very low, reasonable price. I've been watching/searching for them since last May when I found my first one at a garage sale for 35 cents. This one wasn't as incredibly priced, but it was much cheaper than what they usually sell for. It has some surface scratches, but they aren't very noticeable...and they make me wonder where it's been and the things it has seen. If only it could talk!!

Do you ever look at something old or vintage that you've collected and wonder where it's been, or what it would say if it could talk?

  1. Absolutely. Over here Oxfam are doing a series of adverts in magazines featuring a variety of vintage outfits telling their stories - eg. "It was 1965 and I was walking down the Kings Road, everyone was checking out my space-age style...". They're really effective. I always wonder whether my deco china has seen glamorous evenings.

    Cute jug, by the way.

  2. Love your new jug. Colour, shape, little scratches and all!

I have done just that on my blog today...and think about the history of the things I find all the time...that's probably what draws us to old things.
