Oh no! I just realized something!

The final Antiques Festival in Midland is on the same day as the Midnight Madness at Williamston Antiques!!! I don't know if I'll have the energy to visit Williamston after visiting 1000+ vendors in Midland! Bummer!

There is less than a month until the last Michigan Antique and Collectible Festival in Midland, Michigan!

September 25-26
Then we will have to wait all winter again to be able to go again in June!!

This is their 42nd year. It is held only 3 times a year at the Midland County Fairgrounds.

Saturdays 8am-6pm
Sundays 8am-4pm
Auntie and I went in June with another friend (Pam) from work and Eric. It was a lot of fun-and a lot of walking! Can't wait to go back-I'm counting down the days!!

Warren's Greatest Garage Sale...

Today and tomorrow is "Warren's Greatest Garage Sale" located in the parking structure at Warren's City Hall. Admission was just $1, and parking was free. There were four of us on this treasure adventure, Chicken's Auntie, my youngest son Eric, my DH, and me. I'm glad we went early, it was really getting steamy outside when we left and there really wasn't a breeze inside the parking structure.

This is where we entered. We paid our $1 admission and got our hands stamped with a red bingo stamper-that by the way-doesn't wash off very easily!

It was really hard to get a shot that didn't have too many people in it-the place was packed and getting more packed as the morning went by.

The Farmer's Market was also going on at the same time.

This is where we grabbed a quick lunch-very pricey, but since there really wasn't much to be had...and we were just about starving...not gourmet, but not bad.

Drove by this and thought the sign was neat.

Not bad for a quarter each!

Fifty cents each-to go in my flower bed.

The last bowl in my second set.

It was a FUN day!!! Just an appeteaser for next weekend's Michigan Antiques Festival in Midland! Auntie and I have been soo looking forward to it and it is FINALLY almost here! If you are in the area, you should check it out-there will be around 1,000 vendors-great food-entertainment-a classic car show/swap meet-and kettle corn!!!

While today was a nice little prince of a day, yesterday's garage sales were a total frog! I found absolutely nothing-while DH found a bench grinder ($1-and it works!), and a Dewalt circular saw with case and extra blade (it works too!).

Saw lots of neat things today-makes up for yesterday! What did you find this weekend?

Now I'm off to slather on the sunscreen and float away the rest of the day in the pool!
Hope you enjoy your long weekend!

It's Getting Closer!!!

Only 3 weeks and 3 days until the Midland Antiques Festival!!!

(Photos from Michigan Antiques & Collectible Festival website)

I can't wait!!!

I just started physical therapy today for my right foot that has been bothering me for a couple of months. I thought I just strained something playing volleyball, and thought it would just work itself out...wrong! I have Achilles Tendinitis and a severe sprain of my ankle. I was told absolutely no volleyball for a month!

I just hope it will be up to par for the Antiques Festival-because I'm NOT missing it!!!

Count Down to the Michigan Antique & Collectible Festival...

There are only 97 days until the first Michigan Antique and Collectible Festival in Midland, Michigan!

2010 Dates
June 5-6
July 24-25
September 25-26

This will be their 42nd year. It is held only 3 times a year at the Midland County Fairgrounds.

Saturdays 8am-6pm
Sundays 8am-4pm

It's about an hour and a half drive from where we live but well worth it! When we went last fall, they said there were 1,000 vendors. It's a lot of fun to be able to visit so many different vendors all in one spot!

Photos borrowed from Michigan Antique & Collectibles website.
The last time we went, we walked for about 4 hours, and still didn't even see it all! We skipped the buildings, and stayed outside. If we had gone into all the buildings, we would have probably added another hour or two.
Admission is $5 per person. It is pretty cheap entertainment if you ask me! Even if you don't buy anything, it is still a fun day.

What did I get last year? A couple of pieces of chartreuse Fiesta, joint custody of a square angel food cake pan, 2 giant bags of kettle corn (that barely survived the ride home with 4 hungry people), and lots of fun memories!
This year, I plan to take my camera, so I can show you how much fun it is!
