A turkey! It actually was in the middle of the road when I drove up to it-right in the middle of a subdivision! It wasn't in any big hurry to cross the street either!
A fawn, about 100 feet from the beginning of the road-aptly named Spring Fawn Lane.
This one is kind of hard to see, but it is a shot with my phone from the car-Kevin was the photographer.
We sat and watched them for quite a while, and inched the car ever closer, until they decided we were close enough and they headed into the field. After watching them for a while we continued on to the sale that took us down the road in the first place. When we came back, we saw a flock of turkeys in almost the same spot that the deer had been in earlier. They were a lot more skitish and scooted off the road so we couldn't get a picture of them.
I had just finished sweeping and rinsing off the deck, when she decided she needed to check out what I had been doing.
She wandered around for a while before she jumped through the rails on the side and went back to her sisters who were hanging out closer to the coop.
A yard sale at a mansion? Yep!
Downtown Williamston-don't you just LOVE these buildings?!?
