My parents have always had a couple of humming birds that come to their feeder. This year, they have about a dozen! While we were sitting on the deck, visiting with my Dad's brothers (one from Texas with his wife) and the other from Canadian Lakes, they started swarming the feeder, so I grabbed my camera.

Very cool! We feed humming birds too! Just gave them fresh/homemade water yesterday and they drink it up! I don't have as many birds at my feeder as your Dad does. You have lots of great photos of them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Warmly,

Wow, these are stunning, I'd be SO excited to see them. Nothing half as exotic here in the UK. I've only ever seen a hummingbird once when I was in Cuba and I was thrilled the whole day! Whereabouts do your folks live?
ReplyDeleteThey live in Michigan's upper Peninsula and this was the most they've ever had. She'd fill the feeder with water first thing in the morning and by 10:30 she'd have to refill it!!!
DeleteI have never seen that many Hummingbirds together at the same time. I need to get my feeder out.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures! We occasionally get a hummingbird around the hanging plants, but never this many!
